INDICATOR TAPE FOR AUTOCLAVES PROCESSES
The process indicator tape “Hi Tack” Browne enables the identification and sealing of packages wrapped in non-woven fabric and other disposable materials. The tapes change color when exposed to steam, indicating exposure to the process without the need to open the packages or check records, also enabling the swift and easy identification of processed and non-processed items. They are manufactured in processed crepe paper and feature an extra-strong adhesive for adherence to disposable packagings.
SELF-CONTAINED BIOLOGICAL CONTROLS
The Browne Biological Controls contain a certain quantity of incubated spores in a paper filter located in a plastic cultivation tube. This plastic tube contains a crystal vial with a means of cultivation. In the case of steam cycles with the application of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores, the chemical indicator, located on the vial´s external label, changes from blue to black, following exposure to the sterilization agent.
MVI MULTI-VARIABLE INDICATOR
The BROWNE MVI indicator can be used in all cycles of steam-based sterilization, at temperatures ranging from 120C to 134C, to ensure the efficiency of its performance. They comply with the EN 867-1 – Class D and ISO 11140-1 Class 4 standards, do not stain and do not release waste. The BROWNE MVI Indicator consists of thermal-sensitive ink, printed on a paper sheet. The MVI Indicators undergo a change of color indicating exposure to the required parameters of the sterilization cycle.
EMULATOR INTEGRATOR – CLASS 6
The Class 6 Integrators are integrators which are used in steam-based sterilization cycles, for the monitoring of all parameters that may affect the sterilization process, including: penetration of steam, temperature, period of exposure to steam, occurrences of air bubbles, escape of air, non-condensable gas, over-heated and over-saturated steam.
DOCUMENTATION SYSTEM – DUAL LABELS WITH PROCESS INDICATOR FOR TRACEABILITY AND LABELING
The Browne Documentation System is a batch or cycle-labeling system which presents two important features:
The dual label with the process Indicator can be applied with a labeler.
BOWIE & DICK TEST
Sensor / Test Sheet
The Bowie & Dick sensor test sheet must be positioned in the center of a package which was submitted to sterilization at a temperature ranging from 121 C to 134 C. Once the sterilizer achieves a complete removal of air and a rapid penetration by steam, the sensor sheet changes its color from yellow to green or blue, thus indicating the operation´s successful conclusion.
READY FOR USE PACKAGE
Featuring the use of the “TST” technology, the Bowie & Dick test is most advanced test available on the market. Its use is recommended at the beginning of each working day and following revisions and maintenance of equipment. It enables the diagnosis of a wide range of flaws such as: inadequate steam penetration, errors of temperature, exposure time errors, occurrence of air bubbles, failure in the removal of air or non-condensable gases, over-heating and over-saturated steam.
